What to expect when you order a custom part from Hayn
Custom doesn’t have to mean complicated. Here’s how it works when you need something that isn’t in the catalog:
1. Start with what you have. A drawing is great, but dimensions are usually enough. For a toggle, that’s the gap, the thickness, the hole size, the overall length, and the distance from the hole to the end of the eye. Best to give us a call to walk through the details you have.
2. No drawing? Send us the part. If it’s removable, send us the worn or broken piece. We’ll measure it and build the replacement from the sample.
3. No minimum quantity. One part is a perfectly good order!
4. Just a little tweak to an existing part? That’s our specialty. We manufacture our parts, so we can make the standard designs a little bigger, smaller, shorter or longer – as needed to fit your application. Pin hole and thread combinations that don’t come off a shelf are fair game too.
5. The right material for the job. We work primarily in 316 stainless, with Nitronic-50 and bronze alloys available depending on the application. Looking for something else? Let us know and we’ll see what we can do.
6. Repeat it without starting over. If a part is going to come up again, we’ll set it up with a part number so it reorders like any other SKU.
Don’t see it in our catalog? Just Ask! Everything is fabricated at our Rocky Hill, Connecticut facility by people who know the hardware.
